English
COLDMAN plays music only through the official players and APIs of YouTube, SoundCloud, Spotify and Audius. It never downloads, stores or passes on audio.
Without signing in
Your tapes, playlists and settings stay in your browser (localStorage). Nothing is sent to us.
When you sign in with Google
- What we keep: your Google account id (the number Google gives us), when you joined and were last seen, and what syncs: the tapes on both sides, your playlists (song links, titles, artists, cover links, lengths) and the deck's look (model, colour, tape style).
- What we don't keep: your email, name or profile picture. The name and picture shown on the Account card stay in your browser.
- We use this only to sync your library across your devices and to count members. We don't sell it, share it or use it for ads.
- It is stored on Cloudflare (D1). The
cm_sessioncookie keeps you signed in (180 days).
“Listening now”
While a tape plays, the page sends a random id for that tab once a minute so we can count listeners. It isn't tied to you or your account and is deleted a few minutes after playback stops.
YouTube
COLDMAN uses YouTube API Services: playing YouTube videos is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Each service's player (YouTube, SoundCloud, Spotify, Audius) may set its own cookies.
